Ganesha Chaturthi 2025: A Day of Devotion, Music, and Divine Grace at Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam

The festival of Ganesha Chaturthi, ever radiant with joy and spiritual fervour, was celebrated with deep devotion and grandeur at Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam. Each moment of the day reflected Bhagawan’s eternal message of “Love All, Serve All; Help Ever, Hurt Never.”

The morning celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the Sarva Dharma Flag, a moment of profound significance for all gathered.

As Bhagawan has explained, Lord Ganesha, the primordial one, stands as the very embodiment of wisdom, unity, and oneness. He transcends every barrier of caste, creed, and religion, uniting all of humanity under the fatherhood of God.

As the Sarva Dharma Flag rose in the morning skies, it became a living symbol of unity, harmony, and love, inspiring each one of us to honour every faith and to uphold the ideals that Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam, under the auspices of the Sri Sathya Sai Premaarpitham Foundation, stands for.

Following this sacred moment, the day continued with the Maha Abhishekam and Alankaram to Sri Sathyaatmatva Maha Ganapathy, filling the air with the fragrance of devotion. The Utsava Moorthy of Lord Ganesha was then adorned and worshipped with great love. The Sahasra Modaka Homam, an offering of a thousand modakas, was performed with prayers for universal peace and welfare. The Sadashivam Hall reverberated with the auspicious sounds of the Nadaswaram, interwoven with the uplifting strains of bhajans.

As the day advanced, the atmosphere was charged with devotion and anticipation for the evening Pallaki Utsavam. Lord Ganesha, adorned in splendour and seated gracefully upon His mooshika, was carried in procession around the Ashram. Accompanied by bhajans, Vedic chants, and heartfelt devotion, the procession was a moment of collective joy, where young and old alike offered their hearts to the Divine.

The evening’s culmination was marked by Naadasamarpan, a soul-stirring musical concert dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The offering featured a duet by Sarod artist Sri Sachin H. S. and Flautist Dr. Gajanan Sabhahit, accompanied on tabla by Sri Roopak Kallurkar and Sri Yogeesh Bhat.

Their performance was not merely a display of technical mastery, but an elevating journey where every note transformed into a prayer – music in this form transcended entertainment — it became worship itself.

Offered in a spirit of devotion, the interplay of melody and rhythm uplifted hearts and drew all present closer to the Divine.

As the celebrations drew to a close, the message of the day lingered in every heart. Bhagawan’s words on the significance of holding steadfast to the Lotus Feet of the Lord were recalled — just as the lotus remains pure while blossoming in muddy waters, so too do the Divine Feet remain the surest refuge amidst the trials of worldly life.

The sacred day, filled with prayer, devotion, and the unifying spirit of music, ended with the offering of the Maha Mangala Aarathi.
