Vibhuvana Sankashta Chaturthi: A Day of Devotion and Worship

On the auspicious occasion of Vibhuvana Sankashta Chaturthi, an elaborate Gana Homa and Abhishekam of Sri Sathyaatmatva Mahaganapathy was conducted at Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam.

Auspicious Gana Homa in the morning

The morning started with a vibrant and intricate Gana Homa for Lord Ganesha. The priests offered prayers for the welfare of the entire world while conducting the homa for various gods.

After praying to Lord Ganesha, they performed Anga Devatha and Navagraha pooja, paying respects to all the protecting forces from different directions. Following this, they performed poojas for all the installed vigrahams at Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam, including Somasundareshwara, Naga Devatha, Sri Krishna, Sri Rama, and Sri Bhakta Anjaneya.

Purnahuti

The homa continued with the chanting of Ganesha Gayatri mantra by the audience, culminating in purnahuti and offering of grains, fruits, and silk garments to Lord Ganesha.

Elaborate abhishekam for Sathyaathmathva Mahaganapathy

Panchaamrutha Abhishkam

In the evening, the divine celebration continued with an elaborate abhishekam for Sathyaathmathva Mahaganapathy. The priests began with the Panchaamrutha Abhishekam, offering milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugar, sugar cane juice, and fruits to the deity.

The Mangala Dravya Abhishekam followed, filling the air with divine aromas as turmeric, kumkuma, chandana, and vibhuthi were offered to Lord Ganapathy. During the abhishekam, devotees chanted the Durga Suktam and Sri Rudram in unison, expressing their deep devotion.

Offering pure water

The abhishekam concluded with an offering of pure water along with the chants of the Atharvashirsha mantra. Sri Sathyaathmathva Mahaganapathy was then adorned in a beautiful pink dhoti, silver kavacham, and delicately woven flower garlands.

The program concluded with a series of bhajans dedicated to Lord Ganesha and the Mangala Aarti. Everyone gratefully received the evening’s prasadam, showing their reverence for Lord Ganesha.
