The Sri Sathya Sai Premaarpitham Foundation has launched ‘Sri Sathya Sai Prema Dayini’, an initiative aimed at supporting children in government schools. This new initiative will focus on the holistic and well-rounded development of children in the villages around Shivagiri Kshetra, where the Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam is located.
Taking a comprehensive approach to address challenges faced by rural school children, the newly-launched initiative will provide free daily breakfast, medical care, and more.
Commencement of Nutritious Breakfast at Uyyamballi Government School
As a part of this initiative, we recently commenced the serving of hot and healthful breakfast to the 300 students at Uyyamballi Government School. Delicious and nutritious dosas, coconut chutney, rava kesari, and a millet-based nutritional drink was served to the students, who enjoyed the meal with radiant smiles.
Under this initiative, daily breakfast will be provided to all students at the Uyyamballi Government School premises. Breakfast, known as the most important meal of the day, is often missed by many. Studies have shown that when young students consume a nutritious breakfast, they are better able to concentrate in class.
Our goal is to help these children nourish not only their bodies and minds but also to instil faith and self-confidence. Additionally, the children will be taken to the Sri Sathya Sai Vaidyalayam at the Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam for regular medical check-ups and interventions.
About the Prema Dayini Initiative
Sri Sathya Sai Prema Dayini has been designed to nourish both the bodies and aspirations of all children in government schools within the Kanakapura District and Shivagiri Kshetra. These children often lack basic nutrition, which can hinder their education, health, and overall development. The initiative will address these issues and provide nutrition, medical care, as well as educational intervention and support.
Students also receive support in tuition, dance, music, and other classes on Indian culture and spirituality at no cost to them.
