The Sri Sathya Sai Kshema Dayini initiative is dedicated to fostering holistic well-being of the villagers through proactive, preventive, and compassionate healthcare. The patients in need can avail free services from Sri Sathya Sai Vaidyalayam, a 24×7 ambulance service and an in-house pharmacy.
Sri Sathya Sai Vaidyalayam serves as the central focal point for the Sri Sathya Sai Kshema Dayini initiative. This rural multi-specialty hospital offers consultations, diagnostics, medicines, and minor surgeries free of cost.
“My sister was taken to hospital in the ambulance recently. They took care of her well and we reached the hospital very quickly. Everybody in the village knows about the ambulance and we’re so thankful to the Sri Sathya Sai hospital.”
Vidya Patient attender, Uyyamballi village“I attended the eye camp at Sri Sathya Sai Vaidyalayam hospital due to blurred vision in one eye. After a thorough checkup, the doctors scheduled my operation at a hospital in Bangalore. The Foundation ensured my comfort, offering quality food and beds. Veeranna Uyyamballi Village“I came for the eye camp conducted at Sri Sathya Sai Vaidyalayam. I was very pleased to receive a free eye check up at the hospital. K Jitendra Naidu Watchman“Participating in the medical camp at Sri Sathya Sai Vaidyalayam was an exceptional experience. The hospital's excellent medical infrastructure ensures efficient patient care. With a high turnout of women patients, I felt grateful for the chance to assist them. It was heartening to witness the services provided here, completely free of charge, including medicines from the in-house pharmacy. I believe that more such camps, especially for women's health, are crucial to enhancing healthcare awareness and accessibility.”
Dr Harshitha Visiting Gynaecologist“Volunteering at the Sri Sathya Sai Vaidyalayam hospital's health camp was refreshing and inspiring. It's remarkable to witness a fully-equipped hospital in a remote village, offering services like a 24/7 ambulance, laboratory, multi-speciality medical consultancy, and pharmacy entirely free of cost. Through my consultations, I recognized the critical need for medical services in the area. I would be very happy to participate in more such health initiatives and serve the villagers.”
Dr Yashas Visiting Paediatrician“Previously, I had to travel to the hospital in Kanakapura for health check-ups, which often meant sacrificing an entire day of work and impacting my family responsibilities. Consequently, I would frequently neglect my own health. However, with the establishment of a hospital near our village, I am now elated. This development allows me to prioritise my health without compromising my obligations to my family.”
Ratnamma Nallahalli Doddi“The hospitals are located quite far from our village, presenting a significant challenge for many elderly residents who struggle to walk or travel by bus. We are immensely grateful that the medical camp has come right to our doorstep. This initiative has proven to be incredibly helpful for us, ensuring that all of us can easily access health check-ups without enduring the difficulties of long-distance travel.”
Chaitra Nallahalli Doddi“The Sri Sathya Sai Vaidyalayam provided basic eye care and reached out to remote villages to drive patients in from other villages. I noticed many patients had cataracts and retinal issues. As the organisation expands, focusing more on treating these common problems could significantly help the community. Seeing underprivileged patients receive free care in a calm environment reminded me that healthcare is a noble profession meant to serve others. It reinforced my calling to serve humanity through healthcare.”
