The 76th Republic Day was commemorated at Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam with a blend of patriotism and learning. The celebrations included the flag hoisting ceremony followed by an educative session on Basic Life Support conducted by the Kshema Dayini medical team.
Flag Hoisting Ceremony: Honouring the Nation
The day began with the flag hoisting ceremony, where all staff, volunteers, and students of Sri Sathya Sai Gnyana Dayini gathered with great pride. As the tricolor was unfurled, the attendees sang the National Anthem in unison, filling the air with patriotic fervor.
Empowering Through Knowledge: Basic Life Support Session
Following the flag hoisting, the Kshema Dayini medical team, led by Dr Gajanan, conducted an Awareness and Educative Session on Basic Life Support (BLS). The session prepared participants to handle emergency situations, such as responding to a person collapsing, administering CPR, and treating snake or insect bites.
The hands-on training and practical demonstrations made the session both engaging and educational. It was a valuable experience for the Gnyana Dayini children, staff, and volunteers, equipping them with essential life-saving skills.
A Memorable Day of Learning and Patriotism
The Republic Day celebrations at Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam reflected a beautiful combination of national pride and practical education. The flag hoisting reminded everyone of their duty to the nation, while the BLS session empowered them to serve better.
The day served as a powerful reminder of every citizen’s duty to the motherland, honouring the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and the significance of India becoming a republic.
