Milestone-based Assessment of the Nritya Maadhuryam Initiative
Through the Nritya Maadhuryam Bharatanatyam classes, young aspirants from the villages near the Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam have been receiving formal training in the divine dance art form of Bharatanatyam since August 2023. The classes follow a structured programme where students are systematically trained in the fundamentals and nuanced concepts of dance, with regular assessments to monitor their progress and provide feedback. In each year of the Nritya Maadhuryam programme, students will undergo two main milestone assessments to evaluate their comprehension of the semester’s classes.
On February 17th 2024, the inaugural batch of 10 students from Uyyamballi village completed their First Milestone exam on completing six months of training in Bharatanatyam. Over the weeks that followed, each student’s progress was systematically aggregated by the instructors and a detailed and personalised feedback was written for their report cards.
