The serene atmosphere of Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam was filled with laughter and joy on the first Saturday of June as everyone gathered to celebrate the annual Staff Day, known as ‘Premaarpanam Day.’ It was a special day dedicated to recognizing the invaluable contributions of every department and employee, while fostering unity and camaraderie among the dedicated individuals who made the ashram a sanctuary of peace and spiritual growth.
The program began with speeches delivered by representatives from various departments. The speeches expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and a steadfast belief in the Foundation’s mission of selfless love and service. The kitchen staff, security team, hospital staff, housekeeping, and gardening departments all shared their heartfelt appreciation.
The highlight of the event was a series of exciting games that brought out the staff’s youthful spirit and encouraged teamwork. From games like ‘pick and speak’ and ‘lemon and spoon race’ to ‘tail the cat’ and mutka breaking, everyone eagerly participated, enjoying lighthearted fun. These games not only provided a break from their daily responsibilities but also emphasized the importance of collaboration and mutual support.
As the day progressed, the atmosphere transformed into a melodious celebration of craftsmanship and unity, accompanied by songs like ‘Ekla Cholo Re‘ and ‘Baanigondu Yelle Yellide.‘
The Premaarpanam Day celebrations served as a reminder that each department was an essential part of the ashram’s functioning, and that Bhagawan stood as our protector. It was yet another opportunity to realize the significance of love and service, values that Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba always emphasized. The festivities concluded with gift distribution and Mangala Aarti.
The Staff Day celebration at the ashram was a testament to the power of unity, appreciation, and a sense of belonging. It reaffirmed the staff’s dedication to their noble roles and highlighted the immense value they brought to the ashram community. As they returned to their respective duties, their spirits were uplifted, and they were reminded of the collective strength that stemmed from their shared vision and unwavering teamwork.
