Republic Day Celebrations at Vaatsalyam: Patriotism Rooted in Prayer

The 77th Republic Day was commemorated at Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam with a harmonious blend of national pride and spiritual reflection. The day’s observances beautifully reflected how the love for the nation finds expression through prayer and service. The celebrations began with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by abhishekam and alankaram to Sri Sarvaantaraatmeshwara Swami. The observances concluded with devotional bhajans and Mangala Aarati, offered in prayer for the nation.

Flag Hoisting Ceremony: Honouring the Nation

The celebrations commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony, as staff, volunteers, and students gathered with reverence and pride. As the Tricolour was unfurled, the National Anthem was sung in unison, filling the atmosphere with patriotism, gratitude, and collective resolve.

Sacred Worship and Devotional Offerings

Following the flag hoisting, the day continued with abhishekam and alankaram to Sri Sarvaantaraatmeshwara Swami, invoking divine blessings.

The celebrations were further enriched by melodious bhajans, offered with heartfelt devotion, bringing all together in a spirit of unity.

Living the Values of the Constitution

The programme concluded with Mangala Aarti, marking a prayerful close to the day’s observances.

The celebration served as a powerful reminder that true patriotism is not merely in words or symbols, but in living the values of truth, righteousness, love, peace, and non-violence—the very ideals that define Bharatiya culture and are embodied in Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s teachings.
