The Sri Sathya Sai Shubha Dayini programme presented a special exhibition where confidence, creativity, and quiet pride filled the Sadashivam Hall at Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam. 30 women trainees came together to showcase their handmade creations, marking an important milestone in their learning journey. Having completed the Advanced Course in Skill Development Training, the exhibition offered a glimpse into the skills nurtured through consistent training, guidance, and sustained effort.
A Journey of Skill Building and Significant Growth
Sri Sathya Sai Shubha Dayini is a skill development initiative that empowers rural women through sustained guidance and hands-on learning. As of December 2025, women from nearby villages such as Nayakanahalli, Haroshivanahalli, Doddahalahalli, and Uyyamballi have actively honed their skills through the programme, and completed the Advanced Course in Skill Development Training.
Showcasing Learning Through Craft
Around 30 women trainees participated in the exhibition, showcasing a wide range of handcrafted products. These included handmade bags, stitched blouses and dresses, handwoven baskets, doormats, jewellery organisers, and embroidered wall décor. Each stall reflected patience, steady effort, and the learning that unfolded over the course of their training.
What stood out most was the confidence with which the trainees explained their work, sharing how each skill was learnt and how every piece was crafted with care.
Encouragement and Appreciation
Volunteers and villagers who visited the exhibition warmly appreciated the displays and interacted with the trainees. The Acharyas, who have closely guided the women through their journey, watched on with pride, witnessing the growth, dedication, and commitment reflected in each creation.
The exhibition stood as more than a display of products. It marked a step forward in self-belief, where each woman recognised her abilities and stood confidently in her journey of growth and transformation through Shubha Dayini — a quiet yet powerful testament to the impact of skill development and sustained support.
