Shubha Dayini teams with AIHBA to Conduct a Day-long Training Programme for Rural Women

The Sri Sathya Sai Shubha Dayini in collaboration with All India Hair and Beauty Association, Bangalore conducted a comprehensive day-long training programme for the women residing in the rural communities near Uyyamballi village. The training featured workshops focussed on personality development and self-grooming, aimed to help women build self-confidence, cultivate a positive attitude, and improve self-image. The training programme received enthusiastic participation, leaving all the women feeling joyous and hopeful as they shared their experiences.

The training session began in the morning hours, and was initiated by the President of the ‘All India Hair and Beauty Association’ Ms ​​Sathya Devi P, Ms Usha (Treasurer), and Ms Tejashwani (Executive Director), along with other key members. With great enthusiasm and detail, the session covered the topics of ‘Personality Development’, ‘Self Grooming’, ‘Body Language’, and a detailed insight into how these women can generate income using the crafts they create – all in the familiar Kannada language.

Under the Shubha Dayini initiative, the women from the nearby villages of Hoolya, Madiwala, and Bommasandra are taught and trained in activities such as jewellery making, bag crafting, and tailoring to help them upskill and build an alternate source of income.

A discussion on ‘Cleanliness and Hygiene’ shed light on practical habits, complemented by heartfelt encouragement from the trainers to seize learning opportunities and strive for self-care and confidence. The trainers encouraged the women to always have a positive attitude – and left everyone present feeling inspired.

The training also featured a session on the basics of makeup, offering valuable insights into how self-care practices can be empowering. This session served as a cornerstone for the women in attendance, highlighting the importance of caring for oneself. Practical demonstrations were conducted, showcasing basic self-care and makeup techniques for hair and skin, along with easy and affordable options. These demonstrations equipped women with the knowledge to incorporate these practices into their daily routines effectively.

The afternoon segment featured an interactive question and answer session, allowing attendees to engage actively and clear doubts on the topics covered. Following this, women shared their heartfelt experiences, highlighting the positive impact of the Shubha Dayini programme on their lives.

The workshop concluded with the felicitation of the All India Hair and Beauty Association representatives, acknowledging their generous sharing of knowledge and support in uplifting these communities.
