With the blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, the Sri Sathya Sai Vaidyalayam under the auspices of the Sri Sathya Sai Premaarpitham Foundation, has now launched a free ambulance cum mobile hospital– Sri Sathya Sai Kshema Dayini.
In the rural villages in and around our campus, critical and emergency healthcare services have been difficult to obtain and reaching the nearest speciality hospital in times of emergency has been a critical challenge. About a month ago, a middle-aged man who had just survived a heart attack and needed critical specialty healthcare, came to the Sri Sathya Sai Vaidyalayam– our in campus rural hospital. Realising the need for speciality treatment, our doctors and volunteers rushed him in their car to the nearest hospital in the city. Ambulance services in these villages are very sparse, and even if someone manages to find one, it isn’t easy to obtain it promptly since it’s always in demand. The nearest hospital with an ambulance is almost two hours away, and for critical illnesses, those hours would be indispensable.
The Sri Sathya Sai Kshema Dayini will cater to these critical emergency needs, serving as a much needed ambulance for all the villagers in and around Uyyamballi. The ambulance is fully-equipped with state-of-the-art monitors, oxygen supply, transport ventilator and suction pumps to assist the patient during transport to hospital.
Anyone can avail this service by dialing the toll-free number 1800-309-4393 or 9988114393.
On the auspicious Vijayadashami morning, the ambulance was inaugurated at the Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam and the Ayudha pooja was conducted with sincere prayers that the ambulance can assist in healing the lives of many people.
Delivering a promise of health and wellness– The Sri Sathya Sai Kshema Dayini will also serve as a mobile hospital
The ambulance is aptly named Kshema Dayini to represent that this vehicle will not just provide medical services, but will cater to the overall wellness and physical security of the people in the nearby villages. The ambulance is also designed to serve as a mobile hospital which will enable Sri Sathya Sai Vaidyalayam to serve many more patients on time in the vicinity. The Sri Sathya Sai Kshema Dayini will help take medical care and regular health check up programs to the doorsteps of the several small rural and tribal villages around Uyyamballi.
We at the Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam wish that many villagers can be reached and helped with immediate medical care through the Sri Sathya Kshema Dayini. May His love continue to touch and transform countless lives!
