Ugadi, marking the auspicious advent of the new year ‘Sri Krodi Naama Samvatsaram’, was celebrated with great joy and fanfare at the Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam. The morning celebrations began on a soaring spiritual note with an inspiring speech that touched the hearts of all present. This was followed by the much-awaited inauguration of the Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam Bus, the premiere of the Sri Sathya Sai Prema Dayini video, and the launch of the new website for the Sri Sathya Sai Premaarpitham Foundation. 

The evening programme comprised the certificate ceremony for the completion of ‘Milestone 1’ examination of the ‘Nritya Maadhuryam’ Bharatanatyam dance class, insightful speeches, and concluded with a heartfelt music offering.

Onward with Service: Launching the Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam Bus and Website

The morning programme at the Sadashivam hall saw an exciting new addition – the launch of the Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam bus service. This initiative aims to facilitate convenient transportation for various service activities. The bus will greatly benefit beneficiaries, enabling them to commute easily to and from Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam for different service programmes. Whether it’s medical camps under Sri Sathya Sai Kshema Dayini, skill-development workshops as part of Shubha Dayini, or dance and music classes for Gnyana Dayini, this bus will serve as a vital resource for the community.

Following the video launch, Sister Kalpana Heblekar, an alumna of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Anantapur Campus, delivered an insightful speech on the transformative power of selfless service. She emphasised how engaging in acts of selflessness can lead to transcending the limitations of the ego, inspiring everyone to cultivate a more selfless approach in their lives.

The evening programme commenced with a speech by Sister Sathvika Krishnan, who shared insightful instances from her life that exemplified the profound message of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba: that true education is living with God.

Celebrating Dedication, Cultivating Talent: Nritya Maadhuryam’s Milestone 1 Achievement

Following this, the Certificate Programme for the completion of the Nritya Maadhuryam ‘Milestone 1’ examination was conducted. The inaugural batch of the dance class at Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam had diligently undertaken their first milestone assignment on February 17th, marking the culmination of six months of intensive training in the Bharatanatyam dance form. 

The ceremony was marked by the distribution of well-deserved report cards and certificates to the students, acknowledging their unwavering dedication and hard work. In addition to this recognition, the students were presented with a token of appreciation for their sincere efforts and remarkable achievements during the entire training period.

Sister Sourabha Bhat’s Encouraging Words: Nurturing Talent, Inspiring Hearts

Sister Sourabha Bhat, a teacher at Nritya Maadhuryam, expressed her happiness in the children’s remarkable progress over the past six months, attributing their success to their unwavering dedication and the eternal love of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Her encouraging words inspired all students and parents present to continue their journey with enthusiasm and determination.

Echoes of Devotion: Geetha Sudha’s Musical Offering

The evening celebrations ended with a soul-stirring music offering by the ‘Geetha Sudha’ ensemble. The melodies, including beloved songs such as ‘Vandana Prabhu Vandana‘, ‘Ninna Bhaktui Beero Deva‘, and ‘Maze Maher Pandari‘, resonated with heartfelt emotion, serving as a true expression of love and devotion.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a serene glow over the enchanting Sadashivam hall, a sense of divine bliss enveloped the atmosphere. The Ugadi celebrations culminated with the uplifting Mangala Aarti and the distribution of Maha Prasadam, leaving everyone with hearts full of gratitude.
