Bringing Healthcare to Haroshivanahalli

The Sri Sathya Kshema Dayini extended its reach to the rural community of Haroshivanahalli by organising comprehensive medical camps for the villagers. The health camps, conducted over two consecutive weekends, saw eager participation from all the villagers. The camps addressed several essential health concerns, making them a resounding success.

Situated approximately 7 kilometres from the Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam, this vibrant village with a population of around 600 is primarily engaged in farming, silk production, and cow rearing. While the community has access to basic amenities, such as  water and electricity, the village still faces challenges in terms of development and infrastructure. Several children from the village attend schools that provide the Sri Sathya Sai Prema Dayini breakfast. The parents shared their happiness about their children receiving this essential nutritious meal every day for the past year.

After a hot, wholesome, and nutritious breakfast prasadam was arranged for all, the medical camp was set up, and the day’s work began with divine blessings.

Over the course of the day, the medical camp saw a steady stream of 70 beneficiaries, predominantly middle-aged and elderly individuals, seeking comprehensive healthcare services.

After conducting the preliminary checkups, the doctors and volunteers meticulously addressed a range of medical concerns, including issues related to eye care, hypertension, diabetes, skin allergies, and orthopaedic ailments.

Patients were provided with necessary medications, accompanied by clear dosage instructions, and guidance on recommended blood tests for those requiring specialist consultations.

The Kshema Dayini team’s efforts in meticulously planning the event, informing the villagers in advance, and ensuring a seamless experience were deeply appreciated by the community. The villagers expressed heartfelt gratitude for the care and professionalism displayed by the doctors and volunteers. As the camp drew to a close, the team made arrangements for further visits and follow-up consultations with specialists in the coming weeks, ensuring the continuity of care for the patients.

The medical camp concluded with Mangala Aarathi to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
